Alhamdulillah, this morning our team had the privilege of presenting the draft outcomes of the SGP OP8 Country Programme Strategy (CPS) to the National Steering Committee (NSC) during a hybrid meeting at Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Malaysia (NRES), Putrajaya.

The presentation was delivered by Amir Isyam Abdul Rahim, Managing Director, as the Project Team Lead.

This marks a key milestone as we move closer to finalising Malaysia’s SGP OP8 Country Programme Strategy. The team will now incorporate feedback from NSC members before submitting the revised CPS.

We are deeply encouraged by the positive feedback and strong support from stakeholders — reflecting a shared commitment to strengthening community-driven environmental action and sustainable landscape initiatives under the GEF Small Grants Programme.

Looking ahead, we are excited for the GEF Small Grants Programme Malaysia National Conference 2026, organised by the United Nations Development Programme, taking place 1–2 April 2026.

The conference will bring together the wider SGP community and partners to reflect on progress and explore the strategic opportunities ahead. Amir Isyam will also be moderating the Panel on OP8 Strategic Directions and Opportunities.
