Malaysia WEPsCAL: IMPS Supports Groundbreaking Gender Equality Initiative

On 21 May 2025, IM Possible Solution (IMPS) had the honour of supporting the official launch of Malaysia’s Women’s Empowerment Principles Corporate Action Lab (WEPsCAL) at the Majestic Hotel, Kuala Lumpur — in collaboration with UN Women Asia and the Pacific, Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad (TalentCorp), and LeadWomen.
This milestone marks the beginning of a bold, action-oriented movement to fast-track gender-responsive business practices in Malaysia. As part of UN Women’s Gender Action Lab in Asia and the Pacific, WEPsCAL is a 6 to 9-month innovation lab that empowers companies to develop, implement, and scale solutions that champion gender equality and inclusive growth.
Themed “Innovating the Future of Family-Friendly Workplaces”, this initiative aligns seamlessly with the Malaysia MADANI Economic Framework and the nation’s vision to reach 60% female labour participation by 2030.
We’re proud to be supporting the first WEPs Changemakers cohort — 11 companies that are stepping up to build a more inclusive Malaysia: AirAsia Aviation Management, FGV Holdings Berhad, Grant Thornton Malaysia PLT, HAYS Malaysia, Kiddocare Sdn Bhd, Mastrak Sdn Bhd, Micron Memory Malaysia Sdn Bhd, PEOPLElogy Development Sdn Bhd, QSR Brands (M) Holdings Bhd, Sagemaker Asia PLT, and Wipro Unza Malaysia Sdn. Bhd

The event also featured a panel discussion sharing dynamic insights from leaders like YB Wong Shu Qi (TalentCorp Chairperson), Amy Baum (UN Women), Shakira Teh Sharifuddin (World Bank), and Dr. John Loh (SAMENTA) that was moderated by our Managing Director, Amir Isyam Abdul Rahim. The panel highlights the importance of public-private sector collaboration as the key to scalable, lasting change.

We look forward to working together with the stakeholders and the first WEPs Changemaker Cohort in reimagining what a family-friendly workplace could look like when corporates take the lead.
