The Human Side of Digital Transformation

Last week, our Managing Director, Amir Isyam Abdul Rahim, was in Jakarta together with Asia School of Business alongside Dr. Wan Hamiza & Cecilia Chan for a session organised by Biline titled The Human Side of Digital Transformation.

The session explored a critical but often overlooked reality: successful digital transformation is not driven by technology alone. Rather, it depends on people, organisational readiness, leadership alignment, and workforce capability.

Together, Amir and Dr. Wan Hamiza engaged HR leaders, corporate decision-makers, and professionals in a discussion on how to build digitally ready organisations. Specifically, they focused on navigating AI adoption, managing organisational change, and responding to the evolving digital value chain.

Central to the discussion was a key call to action: leaders must move beyond viewing digital transformation as purely a technological initiative. Instead, it should be approached as a strategic, people-centric agenda — one that requires deliberate capability development, cultural alignment, and intentional leadership.

We would also like to extend our appreciation to the Biline Team for the collaboration, coordination, and warm hospitality throughout the programme.

We look forward to more regional conversations and collaborations on leadership, transformation, and the future of work.
