🌿 Driving Sabah’s Palm Oil Transformation with JASPO Secretariat 🌿

Our Managing Director, Mr Amir Isyam, was recently in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, working alongside the JASPO Secretariat and UNDP to develop a transition plan for integrating JASPO into SOPIA – the newly established Sabah Oil Palm Industry Authority that will oversee and manage the state’s palm oil sector.

The workshop convened selected stakeholders to brainstorm SOPIA’s vision and mission, clarify its role alongside existing institutions, and map out its governance and organisational structure – laying the groundwork for a more coordinated and sustainable palm oil industry in Sabah.

It also provided a valuable opportunity to contribute to shaping the content of the SOPIA enactment and to discuss the next steps for implementation, ensuring the transition is both inclusive and forward-looking.
