Advancing Sabah’s Sustainable Palm Oil Agenda

Recently, our Managing Director, Amir Isyam Abdul Rahim, was in Kota Kinabalu to support a strategic workshop organised by the Sabah JASPO Secretariat/SOPIA and supported by @UNDP Malaysia, focused on developing the Sub-Jurisdictional Pilot Implementation Plan for Sabah’s sustainable palm oil journey via the jurisdictional approach.
The workshop brought together representatives from government agencies, industry, civil society, and development partners to discuss practical pathways for implementing and scaling sustainable palm oil practices at the local level. As Sabah advances its vision of achieving statewide Certified Sustainable Palm Oil (CSPO) production, collaboration across stakeholders remains critical to turning ambition into action.
Beyond the workshop, we were honoured to participate in the Majlis Sambutan Kaamatan 2026 organised by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Industry (MAFFI), officiated by YB Datuk Jawawi Jaafar. The celebration was a timely reminder that sustainable development is ultimately about people, communities, and the shared future we seek to build.
We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this important agenda and look forward to continuing our support towards a more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient palm oil sector in Sabah.
